PENNSYLVANIA: Pittsburgh is replacing thousands of lead pipes, using $17 million of American Rescue Plan funds to ensure that the city’s residents have access to clean drinking water. [story]
- PENNSYLVANIA, PART 2! Cambria and Somerset counties will receive millions in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding to construct bike lanes and make other pedestrian-friendly improvements to roads. [story]
OHIO: Youngstown will remove lead pipes with $1.6 million in American Rescue Plan funds starting this summer, ensuring that residents have clean drinking water. Statewide, $242 million in ARP funds are expected to replace lead pipes. [story]
ILLINOIS: Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, Springfield Public Schools will receive over $60 million, which will help the district support and maintain staff levels after cost-of-living increases. [story]
GEORGIA: Radium Springs will receive $12.5 million in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funds to make water infrastructure improvements, prevent flooding, and improve community parks. [story]
MICHIGAN: Using American Rescue Plan funds, the city of Detroit is beginning a $10 million pilot program in its Hope Village neighborhood to increase internet access in underserved communities. [story]
NEVADA: Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto announced a $50 million investment to make infrastructure improvements to a bustling area of Las Vegas using Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funds, improving safety and traffic congestion. [story]
