ICYMI: NAVIGATOR POLL: STRONG SUPPORT CONTINUES FOR BUILD BACK BETTER

According to Report, 3 in 5 Voters Support President Biden’s Build Back Better Agenda

Today, Navigator Research released new polling data showing that a substantial majority of voters continue to support President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda, and that with passage of the Build Back Better Act, Independents become more likely to agree that Biden has kept his campaign promises.

Additionally, the poll shows that voters overwhelmingly support the individual provisions of the Build Back Better Act, including investments in clean energy, health care, child care, education, and more.

KEY POINTS FROM THE REPORT:

  • 60% of voters — including 50% of Independents — support the Build Back Better Act. With mention of the plan’s pay-fors, overall support remains just as strong and Independent support rises to 53%.

  • An overwhelming majority of voters support the individual provisions of the Build Back Better Act, including:

    • allowing Medicare to negotiate prescription drug costs (79%),

    • lowering health insurance premiums (78%),

    • capping out-of-pocket costs for Insulin (78%),

    • expanding Medicare to cover hearing aids (76%),

    • making child care affordable (75%),

    • and investing in clean energy (70%).

  • Reading proposals in the plan also increases trust in Biden to handle inflation and rising costs, as well as perceptions Biden has kept campaign promises.
