STATEMENT: BIDEN IS REVIVING AMERICAN MANUFACTURING IN THE MIDWEST

President Biden and Intel CEO Say the “Rust Belt” is Fast Becoming the Silicon Heartland

NEW ALBANY, Ohio — President Joe Biden gave remarks today in Ohio and highlighted the groundbreaking of Intel’s new microchip factory, which will create thousands of jobs and boost American manufacturing.

Thanks to President Biden’s CHIPS & Science Act billions of dollars are now flowing to create high-paying jobs in America. On the same day, North Carolina announced that Wolfspeed will build a new manufacturing campus that will bring 1,800 jobs and a $5 billion investment to the state, continuing the Biden manufacturing boom.

Invest in America press secretary TJ L’Heureux issued the following statement:

“President Biden is delivering on his promise to revitalize the American economy and create better opportunities for the next generation. Between the CHIPS and Science Act, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the Inflation Reduction Act, this administration is creating millions of good-paying jobs, boosting the economy, and making America more competitive for the 21st century.

“We should all celebrate this resurgence in places like Ohio and the President’s success bringing back manufacturing jobs after decades of talk from Washington. This President has a plan and it’s working.”
